Sara's desire to live intentionally began when she and her husband, Mike, started their beautiful family.
She spent her youth living in wanderlust across the beautiful state of Wisconsin. Having children, though, brought a new sense of urgency regarding health and purpose. That led Sara to get her bachelor's degree in Nursing. She used her degree to serve in her local Labor and Delivery Unit for 5 years.
Hardship came when Mike and Sara's desire to have more children resulted in two miscarriages. Knowing our bodies do not make mistakes, Sara searched for answers she felt she couldn't find in conventional healthcare. What she found led her to pursue a career in supporting and healing our bodies while removing the triggers that cause dysfunction.
Thus, in March 2021, Rooted Wellness Initiative was born.

Health is her focus;
community is her drive.

When Sara isn't studying or advancing her skills, you can find her pursuing her relationship with God and tending to her family. After all, that is what drives her relationship with everyone she meets. Although her wanderlust tendencies are still a part of her, she uses that desire for newness to challenge herself with new skills. As joyful homeschooling Momma, new skills present themselves often through her children.
Although they live in the city, Sara and her family enjoy homesteading practices. They strive to live less toxic lives and enjoy making meals from scratch. They love teaching others that living a more sustainable lifestyle is possible anywhere!
Sara isn't just a nurse — she is passionate about her way of living and she loves to share all she knows and discovers.
